A guided tour at the Museum of Christian Culture on the history of Carl Fabergé's jewellery firm — the workshop whose imperial Easter eggs became the defining objects of late-imperial Russian decorative arts. The tour covers not only the famous imperial commissions but the wider range of the firm's output: silver, enamel, watches, small objects for the imperial household and beyond. Particular attention goes to the less familiar chapters: the firm's contribution during the First World War, including the specific objects the workshop produced for military purposes (medals, presentation pieces), which occupies one hall of the museum.
