V Tishine ('In Silence') is a small central-Petersburg interactive attraction built around wordless communication. Visitors put on noise-cancelling headphones and are led through a five-zone route by a guide who works without speech; the point is to prompt a different mode of attention, using sight, touch and smell rather than verbal exchange. The place is closer to an experience venue than a museum — no collection to see, no historical narrative, no Russian required to follow the format. That last point is why V Tishine works unusually well for visitors without Russian. This is the maximum ticket: the interactive tour, the 'Secrets of the Forest' quest, and both the chocolate and aroma masterclasses in one visit. The 'Secrets of the Forest' quest is a two-room escape-game sequence with more than ten logic tasks — puzzles, a small maze, sound and lighting effects — built around the framing of finding a hidden artefact and leaving a lost forest. Around 45-60 minutes. The chocolate masterclass covers the history of chocolate and asks which of the Europeans first drank the Aztec version, then hands the materials over: participants design and make their own filled chocolates as a take-home souvenir. The aroma masterclass ('Guess the Scent') is a small game of aroma-lotto: 14 different scent sources, an exercise in matching smell to memory, and a discussion of how personality maps onto olfactory response. Participants finish by making a fired-clay aroma amulet infused with an essential oil — a small take-home object. Runs several hours; allow half a day.
