Nonna Grishaeva — Revelation (an evening)

A one-woman theatrical evening titled Revelation, at the U Finlyandskogo Concert Hall on the north bank of the Neva. Nonna Grishaeva, a Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation, works across five Moscow theatres and in film and television, and is artistic director of the Rost Theatre in the Tsaritsyno district of Moscow. She has also published books and written songs. The evening runs as a mono-performance rather than a straight concert or play: a mixture of stories from a working actress's life, songs, and conversation about the craft, threaded around the idea of hope. Expect reflections on the actors and directors she has worked with, most of them major figures of the Russian stage. In Russian; the language load is high. Around two hours.
