'Let's Go, I Am Ready' — Pushkin's Travels exhibition
About
An exhibition by the All-Russian Pushkin Museum built around Pushkin's 1829 poem 'Let's Go, I Am Ready' — a lyric in which the poet declares his willingness to travel anywhere with friends, 'from distant China' to 'seething Paris'. The show traces Pushkin's real travels around the Russian Empire and the wider Europe he never reached. Exhibits include rare early-19th-century travel publications: the 1802 'Hand Roadbook' between the imperial Russian capitals, contemporary pocket postal guides, and objects and documents from Pushkin's actual expeditions to the Caucasus, Arzrum and the Kazan region. Held at the Derzhavin Estate-Museum on the Fontanka.
