A cabaret-format tribute to Alexander Vertinsky — the great Silver Age chansonnier whose career spanned pre-revolutionary Petersburg, decades of European emigration and a final return to Stalin's USSR. Yellow Tango takes his most famous songbook and stages it at the Podval Brodyachey Sobaki (Stray Dog Cellar) art café — the cabaret space Vertinsky himself would have known.

Vertinsky is a cornerstone of the Russian song tradition; the Stray Dog is arguably the most historically resonant small cabaret in the city. The pairing is close to ideal.
