A concert at the Peter and Paul Cathedral (Petrikirche) built around the confrontation of Bach at the organ and Beethoven at the piano — the two composers who most fully occupied the two instruments they made their own. Programme moves between the two, with pieces chosen to speak to each other.

One of the more thoughtfully programmed evenings on the current summer circuit. The Petrikirche has both instruments in the right condition and acoustic.
