Mihail Sebastian's 1942 play at Ekaterininskoye Sobraniye. The Nameless Star tells of a small-town teacher whose life is briefly interrupted by a mysterious woman who arrives on the wrong train — a wistful romantic comedy that has become one of the most produced plays of the modern Romanian repertoire.
Bureau's take
A gentle, well-written chamber piece rather than a spectacle. Sebastian was a serious writer, and the play is a small classic in its own right.
