A guided tour of the historic Samoilova confectionery factory — one of Petersburg's oldest sweet manufacturers, still operating in the same purpose-built industrial building. The tour covers the production line, the archive of Soviet-era packaging design, and, of course, tastings.

Industrial tourism, done properly. The Samoilova archive is a small pleasure for anyone interested in Soviet graphic design; the sweets are enough of a reason on their own.

Первоначально фабрика носила название «Жорж Борман» и производила шоколад вручную.
К концу XIX века фабрика выпускала около 4 тонн шоколадных изделий в день.
