Leonid Kulakov — solo stand-up concert
About
A solo concert by Leonid Kulakov — stand-up comic, producer, and founder of the Standup Patriky label and bar. Kulakov works in a direct, current-events register: material draws on news, politics and public conversations, with a specifically ironic framing. His solo shows have picked up attention beyond the standard stand-up audience because of the choice of subjects. The live format is where the delivery works — the material moves differently in the room than in recorded clips. At Stage StandUp Club. In Russian; language-heavy — this is not a visual-comedy set.
Bureau's take
One of the more prominent Petersburg stand-up figures on a solo bill. Skip unless your Russian is up to political and cultural verbal comedy.
