About
MAF (Art and Facts) is a curiosity-cabinet museum — a route through unusual natural phenomena, technology exhibits and interactive art objects. Exhibits include a real meteorite, the smallest bicycle in the Guinness Book of Records (visitors can try it), a mock 'gold vault' with an ingot to try to lift, space debris, and material on the 'Mad Hatters' — the historical context of the phrase. The format sits between science museum and contemporary-art curiosity — a family-friendly walk-through with a rotating programme of themed events. Language load is low: much of the exhibit works visually and physically. A reasonable stop for visitors with children or for a break between the heavier state museums.
