Candle Magic — Jazz in the Orangery. Amy Winehouse
About
A concert dedicated to Amy Winehouse's catalogue at the Orangery of the Tauride Garden — a mid-19th-century glasshouse in one of the older central Petersburg parks. Vocals by Anastasia Sazonova with the JAZZ NOIR BAND, playing Winehouse-canon material in soul and R&B arrangements. The Orangery setting — exotic plants, glasshouse acoustics, candlelight — is a serious part of the appeal, and works well for the intimate register of the source material. Reference points are internationally familiar. Language load is low: English-language standards.
Bureau's take
One of the more atmospheric small-format concert settings in central Petersburg — an Amy Winehouse evening in a working 19th-century glasshouse. Book ahead.
