A chamber concert-and-conversation evening at the Matilda Kshesinskaya Mansion — the Style Moderne palace built for the prima ballerina and imperial favourite in 1904 by architect Alexander von Hohen, now the Museum of Political History of Russia. The salon format sits between concert and literary evening.

The Kshesinskaya Mansion is one of the great Style Moderne buildings in Petersburg and a specific piece of pre-revolutionary history — Lenin gave speeches from its balcony in 1917. The salon format works with the interior rather than against it.
