A musical adaptation of Alexander Pushkin's short story The Queen of Spades at Vyborgsky House of Culture. Herman, the three cards, the terrible old countess — Pushkin's Gothic tale worked into a full-scale musical.
Bureau's take
The material has usually been treated as opera. A musical version is a specific ambition; the show is closer to the mid-scale touring format than to serious dramatic work.
