A Christmas concert at the Petersburg Planetarium — held under the large 37-metre projection dome — combining classical organ works with the visual environment of the planetarium's projected sky. Programme: Bach, Purcell, Mozart, Handel and Vivaldi. Performers include international competition prizewinners and soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Petersburg Philharmonia. The dome creates a specific acoustic and visual environment that is deliberately at odds with the concert-hall standard. One of the more unusual Petersburg concert environments.
