A performance-format reading of Pushkin's short verse drama The Miserly Knight — one of the Little Tragedies of 1830 — at the National Drama Theatre. The Little Tragedies are Pushkin's compressed masterworks: each play under half an hour, each a moral or philosophical experiment. The Miserly Knight is his study of money, avarice and family disaster.
