About
An immersive multimedia installation on the 16th-century Milanese painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo — best known for his allegorical portraits assembled from fruit, vegetables, fish, books and other objects, so that a face emerges from a still life. The project reworks his paintings as walk-through 3D installations combining large-scale digital projection with spatial sound. Arcimboldo's work rewards this treatment: the double-reading of portrait-and-still-life becomes a genuinely immersive experience when the individual objects surround the viewer at scale. Aimed at general audiences rather than specialist art visitors. At ArtDynamics, a mid-city Petersburg venue. Sessions run on a timed schedule; book in advance.
