Cinderella
About
A family show at the Akimov Comedy Theatre based on the Cinderella story. The Russian tradition draws equally on the Perrault, Grimm and post-revolutionary Yevgeny Schwartz versions; Schwartz's 1946 play was itself the source of one of the most beloved Soviet children's films (1947). Suits children aged 7 to 12.

Any Russian Cinderella works with the specific inheritance of the 1947 film. Akimov's version treats the material with the affection it deserves.
