A performance at Kabare Buff built around the metaphor of adamantane — the molecule whose name comes from the ancient Greek word for diamond, and which is one of the most distinctive strain-free chemical structures. The show takes that idea of hardness and freedom as the frame for a piece in which the Buff company performers move through short scenes exploring different facets of human character. The format is variety-style rather than a single plot: songs, monologues and physical numbers linked by the central metaphor.
