About
A stage version of Chekhov's 1899 story 'The Darling' (Dushechka) at Legenda Theatre. Olenka, the darling of the title, is one of Chekhov's most delicately observed characters — a woman who loves whoever she is currently with and adopts their whole life as her own.
Bureau's take
One of Chekhov's most-argued-about stories; Tolstoy wrote a whole afterword defending the character. The stage version keeps the ambiguity intact.
