A stage version of Alexander Blok's 1918 revolutionary poem The Twelve (Dvenadtsat') at the Mariinsky Theatre. Blok's specifically final major work — twelve Red Army soldiers march through the snowy streets of revolutionary Petrograd, and Christ appears at the head of the column. One of the essential poems of Russian modernism.
