About
A flamenco evening at Teatralny Tsentr. Live dancers, guitarist and cantaor working the great flamenco palos — soleá, alegrías, bulerías — in the tradition of the small Andalusian tablao. Close-focus setting; the audience is close enough to hear the compás.
Bureau's take
Flamenco is an unusual export for Russia and the level here is unusually serious. Best if you already have some idea of the form; the pleasure is in the small variations.
