The IMAYC team's chamber version of Swan Lake — the Petipa canon in reduced scale, performed by candlelight in the Swedish Church of St Catherine. The Swedish Church of St Catherine was completed in 1865 to a design by Karl-Karlovich Anderson and is one of the smaller and lesser-known central-Petersburg 19th-century religious buildings. The specific interior — smaller and more intimate than the grand concert halls — makes for a distinct Swan Lake experience. Language load is zero — the story is danced. Candlelight and the small room are part of the substance.
