Louis Armstrong: Romantic Jazz by Candlelight in the Orangery
Age rating6+
About
A candlelit Louis Armstrong tribute at the Orangery of Tavrichesky Garden — one of the loveliest surviving imperial garden buildings in the city. The Armstrong songbook — La Vie en Rose, What a Wonderful World, Dream a Little Dream of Me — played by a small ensemble with a vocalist in front.
Bureau's take
Armstrong's material is the ur-text of the American popular songbook. A candlelit garden version is one of the small pleasures of the Petersburg summer.
