Lyube — Nikolai Rastorguev anniversary concert
About
A concert at the Ledovy Dvorets (Ice Palace) marking the anniversary of Nikolai Rastorguev, People's Artist of Russia and permanent frontman of the band Lyube. Lyube — active since 1989 — is one of the widest-known groups in Russia, working in a signature register that draws on folk, patriotic and narrative-song traditions. The set will run through the catalogue: 'Kombat', 'Skoroye Prosti', 'Skazhi, Batyanya' and their kin. Full band, arena scale. For visitors, this is a way to see one of the Russian mass-audience bands with the deepest cross-generational reach — the material is familiar to families across the country.
Bureau's take
A specific-context Russian evening: patriotic and folk-inflected rock. Skip if you are looking for international-crossover material; recommended if you want to see a mass-audience Russian arena concert as it is.
