About
A stage version of Pushkin's verse novel Eugene Onegin at Dram. Ploshchadka. The novel — arguably the founding text of modern Russian literature — is one of the hardest works to bring to the stage precisely because so much of its life is in the verse. This production takes it on directly.
Bureau's take
Any Onegin worth its ticket has to trust Pushkin's verse. This production does — the pleasure is in the language, delivered by actors who can carry it.
