Oscar (French boulevard comedy)
About
A staging of Claude Magnier's 1958 French boulevard comedy Oscar. Morning at the home of French millionaire Bertrand Barnier gets an unexpected visit from Christian, formerly his bookkeeper, now insistent and confident, demanding a promotion to commercial director — the situation that starts the chain of increasingly absurd complications. At the Vasilievsky Island Theatre. In Russian; the plot structure is internationally familiar.
Bureau's take
A working French-boulevard-comedy staging in Russian. Language-heavy but plot structure is internationally familiar.
