Pushkin. Our All!
About
A comic fantasy at Kabare Buff, an original interpretation of Alexander Pushkin's writing by Mikhail Smirnov — known for his productions Primadonny and Uzhin Durakov. Central text: Pushkin's novella The Lady Peasant (Baryshnya-krestyanka), which serves as the basis for a light and joyous evening. The show combines jokes and experimentation, drawing on Pushkin's writing but also on the wider cultural framing that surrounds his work. 'Our All' — a Russian shorthand for Pushkin — signals the affectionate irony of the framing. In Russian; the Pushkin reference points are specific.
Bureau's take
A working Pushkin-based comedy at Kabare Buff. For visitors who read Pushkin in translation and want to see how Petersburg comedy handles the national poet.
