Journey to the Moon (Premiere)
About
A premiere at the St Petersburg State Music Hall Theatre inspired by Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon and Around the Moon — the 1860s novels that helped invent the modern science-fiction sensibility. The show works the material as adult-family adventure theatre. Two acts.
Bureau's take
Verne's Moon novels are among the founding texts of modern science fiction and pre-date NASA by a century. A stage adaptation is a specific ambition; a premiere is always worth watching.
