About
Alexander Glazunov's ballet Raymonda at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Choreographed by Marius Petipa in 1898 for the Imperial Ballet, Raymonda is one of the great full-length classical ballets — a specifically medieval-set story of a young European noblewoman, her crusader beloved and the specifically Hungarian-Saracen dance divertissement.
Bureau's take
Raymonda is a specific late-classical ballet. The Mikhailovsky is Petersburg's second imperial opera and ballet house.
