Winnie-the-Pooh
About
A children's show at Narva Gate Theatre based on A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories. In Russia, the Pooh material lives partly through Milne but overwhelmingly through the beloved 1969–1972 Soviet cartoon series with the voice of Yevgeny Leonov — one of the founding texts of Soviet children's animation.
Bureau's take
The Soviet Pooh cartoons are a specific piece of Russian childhood. Any Russian stage version works with that inheritance.
