The Marriage of Figaro
About
Pierre Beaumarchais's 1784 comedy The Marriage of Figaro at the Liteyny Theatre. Figaro, Count Almaviva, Susanna, the Countess and one very long wedding day; one of the great pieces of theatrical engineering in the European tradition, and the source of Mozart's opera.
Bureau's take
Beaumarchais is one of the essential comic playwrights of the European stage. The play still works because the machinery still works.
