A stage version of Valentin Rasputin's 1974 novel Live and Remember (Zhivi i pomni) at Masterskaya. In a Siberian village during the last winter of the war, a young wife discovers that her husband — presumed at the front — has deserted and is hiding in the taiga nearby. One of the finest late-Soviet village prose works.

Rasputin is one of the great voices of the Soviet-era 'village prose' movement. The play carries the moral weight the novel demands.
